Chas was a co- founder and Director of TTP Group plc. TTP is Europe's leading independent technology and product development group. It is headquartered at Melbourn Science Park, which it owns and employs over 300 people developing technology and products for companies worldwide. TTP Group was presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise for export performance in 2008 for increasing export revenues to well over £20m, over 70% of its total. He also holds a number of other directorships of advanced technology companies. One of these, Well Cow Ltd, is a TTP joint venture with Roslin Institute and is pursuing opportunities in automating monitoring of the health of dairy and beef cattle. He is also a director a Ziconix.

He is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of a Christian charity based in Namibia that operates in several sub-Saharan African countries.
